Suddenly I have problems with three BLI n-scale "engines."
The E7A is not working properly, no horn sound, very sluggish.

I just received an E6B powered unit that worked briefly, but now the horn does not work;
biggest issue is that it runs okay in reverse, but very jerky in forward.  Even in reverse, the engine runs slow at maximum speed setting.

I found that the unpowered B unit that came with one of the three E6A or E7A units is causing a short when I place it on the layout with another working unit.
I have tried to do the reset function in program on track, but that has not resolved the issues with any of the powered units.

I am using an new NCE digital system.

I think a call to BLI is in order. Even at BLW and MB Klein prices I have a few hundred US dollars invested in the E-7A and E-6B powered units.  This repair work should be under warranty.  :?

Roger,
 BLI will take care of you, its just the hassle of having to send them in and wait. One of my CBQ E9's worked fine at home but when I took it to an N trak event, it went around the layout for a test lap, I stopped them to build the train behind them and the trailing unit decided to just set there. they took care of it but it was just aggravating that I had to do it in the first place.
