Where is Control Panel??
« on: March 24, 2012, 04:12:16 PM »
Almost every single forum I have ever signed up for has some type of 'Control Panel', but I see none here.

Where is it?
How do I change notifications? I don't seem to get any after posting in a thread.

Cover charge??  :?

What he means is that, once you pass 20 posts, more forum features become available, like being able to customize your account settings.

You'll also need to get used to our sense of humor here. We tend to take our modeling seriously, but little else, least of all ourselves.

Sorry, I didn't see that as humor.

My point is, I have no problem with the 20 posts, BUT I have never seen that type of restriction before and to make matters worse, there is nothing stated there are any restrictions that I saw, unless I missed something.

IOW's, it would of been nice to know all of this first.

The object of the game is for each poster to establish credibility, and limit the opportunity of spammers to have their way with the control panel.

By all means, if you have something to share, do so, and it won't be long before all the riches of the Railwire are laid out before you.  (as well as all the Daves, Bryans, and the occasional Ed.)

How the site operates is completely up to the owner. The rest of us are guests here. We would no sooner tell Tom what color he must paint his living room, nor should we tell him how to run his forum.

This thread has gone as far as it will ..
