Look at Pud. King of the Idioms.

FWIW, I think the slab side hopper is one that has a drawing in one of the Car Builders Cyclopedias.  I can't say there's a direct relation but many of the recent offerings by several companies are in these books.

Jason

TLT did them in HO, so it's more likely they'd do them in N. Another car I'd buy in numbers like a fool... damn, they'd be a great addition to the Havelock pool and TH&B had a small fleet as well.

Didn't Sylvan do the barrel iron ore cars in HO?  I love those things, that would be expensive.

Forgive my ignorance, what is a slab sided hopper?

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

I don't recall seeing one of those, but they do look good.  That brass version is pretty snazzy, the question is are there CP decals?

No decals but CDS dry transfers would do the job.

CDS has not only the CP and CN, but the TH &B transfers...odd considering there wasn't a model available..... :?

Something like "if you print it, they will come..."   That brass model sneak-peek suggests it might very well have worked.

Though it's not very likely to ever be a RTR car, I'd love me some of these:
