Bob Bufkin,

You and I and others have been waiting for the southeastern road "Watermelon Cars" for a long time.  Maybe we're getting closer.

I wouldn't normally presume to argue with the man, but it's definately an Ortner. You can sorta see the builder's logo in the centre of the car, and while it's too small to read, the shape is right.

Here's an identical car, the Ortner logo is a bit more visible (and very clear in the original image from my camera):

Interesting.  What is the vehicle on the other side of the car?  Looks like a piece of earth moving machinery.  I can't think of any painted red though.  Maybe a large farm tractor?

Definately a large tractor. It's flatland and farms all around here, and I take most of my shots out in the country. There's nothing but farm fields along that particular road, although it's also a through route. The next place I go sometimes is two roads further down, just past the end of double track heading out of Sarnia, which is a dirt road that truely has nothing but fields on it. In the winter that road does not get plowed or maintained. It makes a nice quiet place to sit.
