Anybody know where there is a stash of older release CMW cars setting on a shelf in a shop some place?

I know I go against the grain around here but I am modeling 47-50 and need some 1950 and earlier cars. I'm watching some of the older cars that I have been trying to round up (Hudson Hornet, Etc.) going to twice what they sold for as singles on Ebay.  Paying $12-16 per car is a bit steep in my opinion when they originally sold for $8-10 a pair.

I wonder if CMW's idea of releasing cars in kit form might give these a chance to come back. It might help get around the licensing issues with GM also because it would be sold as a model kit, not as a RTR "Toy" in the laywers eyes.

BTW- I have been playing with the 41/46 Chevy pickups for an HO layout I am helping with. Would love to see these in N scale too.

I watch those. Like I said, singles are selling for much more than the original two packs went for. The last ones I was watching that went today went for $10 per car.
