Good evening,
Since we're only two weeks away from BC RPM an update seems appropriate.
The "meet within a meet" will take place Saturday,
November 12th, 2011 from 10AM-4PM and will again be held in
conjunction with Trains 2011 at the Cameron Centre in Burnaby, BC as
part of a weekend of model railroading activities. Clinics covering a range of
prototype and modelling subjects will be held on both Saturday the
12th and Sunday the 13th. Please note that new clinics have been added**
These types of events are participant driven so remember to BRING YOUR MODELS!
New for this year will be a show and tell where modellers will
be offered the chance to talk a little bit about their own modelling.
This will also be a good opportunity for those who might have heard a
little bit about prototype modelling to listen in and learn more about
the techniques and resources employed by local modellers.
As some of you might well know, TRAINS can be a very busy show. To minimize
conflicts space is being found within the clinic
schedule to allow BC RPM participants a common meeting time for the show and
tell portion of the meet.
As usual, ALL SCALES and ALL ROADS are welcome. If you've been working on
something, be it a structure, diorama, freight car or locomotive, in-progress or
finished, bring
it out and participate in a friendly and informative afternoon.
Besides the RPM meet and Clinic line-up, TRAINS 2011 has a lot to offer
enthusiasts. The PNR 7th Division meet (Trains 2011) runs from the evening of
Friday, November 11th through Sunday, November 13th and features operating
sessions, a public show, model contest, escorted layout tour, prototype tour and
Sunday evening banquet.
