LED DC light board source ?

Anybody know of a good source for split frame slide in DC white LED light boards ?

Atlas or Intermountain?  Most anyone doing more than a few DCC installations tends to have a pile of DC lightboards on hand...

It would probably be cheaper to buy a ton of T1 (IIRC) sunny white LED's and do the conversions yourself. I've done a number of conversions on Kato RDC's and it's pretty easy.

Thanks , I just want a generic type that I can double screw onto a split frame or hard wire 12VDC to the PCB tabs . I went and ordered some Atlas RS-3 ones . Would be nice if Ngineering had some styles , maybe vertical with a high led , centered led , and the horizontal type used on the Atlas RS-3 . Optional for on both ways or directional by some shorting or bridging wire .

You'd end up shorting out the system that way without an independent power route. Careful don't want to let all the magic smoke out of your LED.

What are you trying to accomplish? I might be able to help after all the brainstorming the lighting on the Super-Berk.

size is an issue I'd guess.

If I was in a big hurry
I'd use an atlas GP7/9 board.... pre DCC version.

but they are not hard to make if you can drive a soldering iron.

Just looking for a packaged LED that would be grain of wheat substitute . Mount across the split frame or wire to it . For use on locos , tenders , or any car that has power .

very bright in structures and passenger cars.  I usually tone them down with a coating or two of Tamiya translucent smoke or clear blue to get the mood lighting correct.

Digitrax DCC 15v AC at the Nscale setting seems not to disturb them.  Use a bridge rectifier with DC to get lights in both directions.  They won't light with less than 5 or six volts but they last and last.  Excellent value for your money...

These fit in HO headlight holes directly.  Add a resistor and you have a directional headlight...
