You've got enough room, how about including a runaround and reversing the direction of a siding or two to spice up the switching moves?
well, then the conundrum is following the prototype or making operations more fun. It all depends on what will make you sleep better; having a close as I can get it layout, or a fun ops layout. I'm looking forward to seeing how the cotton gin turns out. Living in the Southeast (especially in South Kackalacky), I could very easily add one to the list of industries I could include on a layout. Only prob is I suck at research (for now)
It looks like I am going to go through a divorce (no, I did not do anything wrong). My larger Gila Sub of the Sunset Route's Tucson Division looks to be on hold, what do you guys think about stretching out a tymewaster to have double the normal space to place/replace 2 cars and use either 2 4 axle road switchers or a U30C? I have all of the nesacary turnouts, and would senic it to look like the Gila Sub....brown and all....
Sorry to hear about that. BTDT, not fun. There are a number of interesting features further up the line; are you thinking of cherry-picking features to include on the longer plan, or are you going to stay relatively proto?
