Nice. I wonder how long the SOUTHERN hoppers lasted in service. 1970s?

Wondering how long between announcements and arrival?

The Erie hoppers were announced 11 months ago.

The Erie run has locked and is now in production. Hope to have the sample car in soon. While we tend to announce earlier than most, this batch is also running late on top of that.

As for the Southern's, the 1969 ORER shows the fleet largely intact. By the 1981 ORER, they were gone.

I'm afraid not. The WM stone service cars were 12-panel 100 ton cars. There is another (simpler) version of speed-letter brown applicable our car plus WM - Chessie but it will probably be a while before we would announce those.

I would definatley purchase the WM simplified scheme and the Chessie WM's  8)
