Japanese Flush Cut Saw For Cutting Styrofoam

The other night I started chopping, slicing and shaving styrofoam for the NCR layout. This was made a lot easier (but slightly messier) with the newest addition to my arsenal. A "Japanese Flush Cut Saw" from Harbor Freight (why pay more for something to cut styrofoam?): http://www.harborfreight.com/japanese-flush-cut-saw-39273.html

This thing is really handy. I wish it came in longer lengths. It's flexible, which makes making realistic contours easy and thin, which makes slicing through the stuff easy, even at deep depths.

It's also SHARP.

It doesn't quite have the finesse of a cheap serrated steak knife, but I've been pretty happy with it so far.

The real news here is that the layout looks to be intact still.  1 month and counting!  Don't use heavy books to weight down those foam hills when you glue them in place... you might break off the penisula.   :P

It also looks like Ed is experimenting with the trackless layout as well. Waiting on the article on cork feeders conductivity tests.  ;D

I saw some early pictures of Ed's concept of the "layoutless" design...

Does it double as a hari kari sword for when you realize your track is screwed up and have to rip it all out?
