Can you add a flashing beacon to the 44 tonner with the decoder that's in it or if you have to change it what would you use for a decoder Thanks Wendell

99.98% probability you'd have to change it.

The other .02% is if the Bachmann decoder has any flashing functions at all and you'd have to wire both headlights together and use the second headlight function for the beacon.

Bachmann's decoder is very basic 2 function decoder. There is no CV setting for a flashing beacon. You would have to change the decoder or add a flashing beacon circuit to the headlight function output.

I replaced the decoder in one of mine with a Digitrax DZ123M0, used the existing wires and used the existing screws to hold it down.
