THUD
That was the sound of me hitting the ground whilst contemplating just where to get the funds for a small army of CPR products.....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Awesome patches.  I have a CR ex-PC car on order from Chuck...might also need to add an Okee.

Neat!  I take it the green door NH car is PC-era.

And the woosh sound you just heard was meknocking the air out of Pud after landing on him . . . sorry brother . . . trying to catch a few of those CR paint-outs.

I was going through the Morning Sun CP equipment book last night, and saw what I believe are the cars that these are supposed to represent. If that is correct, I've gotta say I'm really looking forward to these in the action yellow scheme.

There are two lettering arrangements of the action yellow scheme, and yes I do believe one of them is pictured in the Morning Sun book.  There will be a snapshot of the with-roofwalk version artwork in the November issue of the ESM Newsletter.

Awesome. Glad I sat out of the recent MTL yellow action 40' box.

A bunch of CP versions in this video, supposedly on their way to the scrapper in 1992. Can someone enlighten me as to what lading these cars would have carried on CP. Potoatoes, sure, but what else?

Beer, fruit/produce, canned goods, anything perishable that needs to kept stable but not frozen.

Note the third car in that train, with the silver paint job and dark red script lettering is a mechanical reefer and not just an insulated car (unless the refridgeration equipment has been again removed). Of course, it can be used as just an insulated car.

Beer... of course. That in itself explains why there were hundreds of insulated cars in both CN and CP's fleets.
