Jeff thanks once again for taking the time to post your notes.  This is really helpful stuff -- and I didn't even know that AIM made washes (tho I do have some of their powders).   I'm gonna have to get me a gon or two just so's I can try this out.   

I've also been looking at some O-scale stuff recently and I'll have to try out the Krylon Matte Finish to see what the texture looks like, esp. on wheels & trucks.

Ditto on both counts.  As Ed noted, I'm especially impressed with the wear on the top sill in this shot:



Did you make a special effort with the wash to bring it over the top?

If you are talking about the subtle edge wear on
both sides...honestly...I think that's mostly from handling while weathering.

Hm, I wonder what 'grit' human fingerprints are....?   ;D ;D
