New power for the Ski Train

The Ski Train has been running yearly since 1940.  It runs between Denver's Union Station and the Winter Park ski area at the west portal of the Moffat Tunnel.  It was in danger of not running this year for the first time in 69 years but has been resurrected under new ownership once again.  Here's a photo of the new power the train will run behind.

I thought they did.  Maybe they'll lease some from Amtrak.

old cars sold to = CN or Alogoma Central (can't remember).. somewhere north of the border

new cars =
SLRG #3001,#3002 (Ex Long Island C1 cars (low level bi-level)
PPCX Private Car 800628 (lounge car),
SLRG #3003-#3006 (ex Long Island C1 cars),
PPCX private car 800787 (lounge car),
SLRG 3007-3010,
PPCX 800798, 800799 (coaches),
PPCX 800862 (dome, most likely a milwaukee dome),
RPCX 511 (amtrak 800124) dome car,
PPCX 800045 (business car)...

backup cars =

PPCX 800881 (coach),
PPCX800861 (coach),
PPCX 800287 (concession).

Interesting I heard the Ski Train was sold so I stupidly assumed there was no more Ski Train ...

CN bought the old set for service on the former Algoma Central Railway. CN owns the AC. (AC was bought out by WC was bought out by CN).
