getting a 4x8 sheet of homaote cut is problematic.

Bring a cordless circular saw with you to Home Depot(HD) and cut it in the parking lot.

BTW, HD didn't come to me right away, HD in my world stands for Harley Davidson.

Can't you use a knife to cut it? I have cut 4x8 sheets of foam out in the parking lot with a knife.

Around here that's not always the only thing getting cut by a knife in a parking lot!

I'd check your depot to see if they can't rip it for you into 2ft strips. Almost every depot has a vertical cutting table in the rear. Worth a shot, kinda odd if your depot doesn't have one by now.

Plus often the first two or three cuts are free....
