I tihnk he's refering to the railfan monikered Blomberg M... as they're single-clasp.
Blomberg B's are double clasp...
I can't see it being paticularly easy or cost-effective to convert a double-clasp arrangment to a single clasp, especially removing the hangars, linkage, etc for the outside shoe...
