The last of the photos taken in Montreal on August 5, 1956:

Montreal's trolleys were all single-ended, but unlike most lines with loops at the ends, several Montreal lines ended with in-street wyes. Here's MTC 2127 wying at the end of the line:


MTC operated an interurban line to Lachine using large two-man cars like MTC 2152 here:


MTC 5002 was an unusual steeplecab at the storage yard beside the St. Denis carbarns. it has two bells (a gong on the side and a locomotive bell on the hood) but no headlights:


Next week, fifty years of streetcar operation in New Orleans.
