They did a nice job with the couplers and the height.  Kudos to Bluford.

Bah, they did it in a late scheme, might as well say BNSF with a swoosh...

But they ARE really nice cars. I can't wait to get one from before 85.

Ed

I forgot your liking for early Conrail.  Couldn't be that much trouble to redo the car would it.  Contact Bluford Shops and tell them what you want.  I'm hoping for a PRR car myself.

I have have asked (begged, whined, pleaded) for early Conrail cars for some time.  Bluford said they are going to produce them, but did not give a definite date.  He stated they have started the artwork, so it's only a matter of time.  It sounded like Penn Central and Pennsy are on his radar screen also.  He was a very nice guy when he emailed me back.  I am really looking forward to these cars.

We have to talk Bluford Shops to come on over to this forum.  They'd get lots of ideas from this bunch.

Hoping they do these:

http://www.railgoat.railfan.net/spcars/byclass/box/b100-16.htm

When
they do them because this is a no-braineer of the first order. Waiting for a later run is fine while other roads with simpler paint get the kinks out.  SP has been a 'first run' roadname but this paint scheme needs to be run right and run repeatedly.  I'm hoping for pre-faded paint.  We all know that they were very red but quickly faded and weathered.  The bright red may be historically accurate, but the faded red is necessary for it to 'read' right on a layout...

The question is, did the SP have that scheme on the Thrall Car. Trainworx has that scheme set for the PS car, which is the one in that pic. Batch 3 will be C&O, CNW and MP, batch 4 should go back to the more modern schemes.

The Trainworx cars are Thrall ones, and yes the SP had those in 4 and 8 door versions. The car in the pic is a PS one and was only used by the SSW in the 4 door variant.

These cars are sure going to be a welcome addition to my fleet. I agree with Ed it would be
nice to have some early Conrail!. I'm going to get the GT and attempt to do a fade GT 86' boxcars
always seem to be really light blue. I also am looking forward to the C&O and Chessie releases by
Train-Worx.
