Can't Touch This...

It's Hammer Time! ;D

This was fun.  In addition to the raised short hood, I added the vent for the steam generator, the angled number boards, a dynamic brake grid, and the exhaust stack extension.  I also modified the fuel tank to include the water cylinders.  Just have to get my mits on some 5 chime horns to complete the WM look.

I started with an old Atlas Kato RS-3 along with some parts from the lab...

No, the long hood is the mechanical front of the lokie.  Consider Pamela Anderson... They did all that nice work on the hind end, so why take pictures of the nose? 8)

It's really good as I said elsewhere, one question though, are you going to add the hoses on the pilot, as they'd help hide the MT conversion I think.

Looks like the damn undercarriage has smaller water tanks than what I supplied...  The question becomes, do I change the number and the striping, or the water tanks...  With all the mods I had to make to the fuel tank, neither is a small task...

(or do I just do some self-flagellation here on the air, then say screw it when I get back up to the train room...? ;D)

Option #5 Build another and then you can put the correct fuel tank under this one, and use the one you spent hours converting on the next unit.
