Greetings! ;D
I had been prodded by Lee to quit planning and thinking and start "doing"...so I've started doing. Since I'm still trying to figure out the main room layout, I had an 80"L x 15"W foamed section laying underneath. I figured it would be nice to use as a "learning tool"....
So while working on that and getting some tips and advice, I tore into my first kit structure build as well. So far I'm pleased with it. I need to do some details, and some weathering, but it's a nice kit (Walthers Sunrise Feed Mill).
And of course, every project needs a manager!!!
Being my first kit build experience, so far I'm pleased overall. The kit I think is very well done, pieces have gone together quite well with minimal warping at all.
I have some touch up work to do on it, and then some weathering and decals. I still have to install the stairs, loading platform, and coal box top.
Of course my intent in posting is to get some feedback, suggestions, advice on detailing this structure. I'm happy with it and am enjoying the process, but I would like it to look nice when its' ready to be installed on the module.
