Oh, boy...  I spent some time in HOn3 doing the RGS (back in the early 90s) and there's just something very, very pleasing about the proportions of those old D&RGW 2-8-0s.

I'm very glad to see the 315 back in steam rather than decorating the front of a Durango motel.

BTW, Rio Grande Southern is in Strasburg, PA, also being restored to service.

I'd be very happy if RGS #42, currently at Durango, could be brought back to life as well.  From what I understand, her frame is cracked in several places as a result of "snow bucking."  Apparently the RGS would take a running start at a snow drift and slam into it at track speed.  She'd need a whole new frame.
