As I am getting closer to begin releasing car kits, I would like to include decals sets. Who do you guys recommend for doing several batches of quality silkscreened decals at a reasonable price. Please remember, decal prices will affect final kit costs.

.

Check out Ricky Rupp at www.modernrails.com
He did the decals for my wedding car and upcoming E8 project.

Bob,
I would recommend calling Jim Abbott of Highball Graphics. He does real nice
work in both HO and N scale.

Thanks guys.

I'll contact Modern Rails tomorrow Russ.

Jon, looks like High Ball is not doing customs anymore.

He let us know how it works out. I'd like to get some Erie sets done for myself.

If you can handle the minimum order quantity, nobody beats Microscale in the quality department.

250 sheets, no matter what size sheet you need.

I had decals made for my FJ&G locomotives by a company called E.L.S. Trains.  Eric was very easy to work with, provided good communications, and I only needed a few sets of decals.  Of course there was a small set up cost, but I thought that was reasonalbe too.  I don't remember exactly what it was but I can look it up if anyone is interested.  The final decals were $6 a set.  I sent him pictures of the locomotive, and he did the rest. He even sent me a full size .jpf file so I could check them against the locomotive.  I though that was really great service and I will use him again when I get to doing some rolling stock. His information is:

I went ahead and looked up the setup charge.  It was $35 and it was based on the size and detail of my request, so it may be different for  other requests.  Mine has numbers in two sizes, stripes, and the front and rear decals.

Railgraphics provided the decals for the VARR.  They were affordable, somewhat easy to work with, and the decals themselves came out excellent.
