A successful shelf RR in HO scale

Take a look at Tom Johnson's layout.  I think his layout shows the possibilities that can be achieved with a flat, narrow space in a shelf type layout.  Jim Six shot these photos.

Holy crap! I read that article in GMR and didn't even realize it was his! *****!

I have been a Jim Six fan for a long time. In fact, I credit his articles on building the Cresson Helper Pool with partially getting me back into Conrail modeling.

That stuff looks REALLY good.

Hmmm....the GMR article says the layout is Tom johnsons not Jim six. I think J six must've just visited the the layout.

Jim Six and Tom Johnson are close friends, they live not too far from each other in northern Indiana.  Jim authored the GMR article and shot the photos.  The ones in GMR are only ~10% of the total number of exposures, he shared some of his 'reject' images over on the Atlas forum back in early December and they were gorgeous.

I'm a big believer in shelf layouts, in fact the one I'm (ahem) building is a shelf layout.

Without having to google or surf his gallery this can anyone tell how big this layout is?
