i'm looking to purchase several Bachmann 2-8-0 locomotives in the near future.  can a working coupler be installed in the front?  i really want to use these in a prototypical manner and not having a working front coupler would not work for my plans.

How long will it be before they show us how to add DCC to a tree?

So you've gotten past the oversize nature of this beast?  ;)

(I bought one in WM anyway!)

I believe the common approach is to use the Z 905.

Search the Atlas forum its been covered numerous times there.

According to N Scale Supply, a front coupler can be installed using a #2004 coupler box and a #1015 coupler.
