I'd like to see 60 ft bulkhead flats...  I do know about the n-scale kits car and have a couple, but they are not "close to the rail" either, though an improvement over the MTL cars.

Of course the other missing link in modern n-scale are gondolas...

I know Walthers makes a 54ft. http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/932-8211

Are 60ft bulkeads still prevalent in modern railroading?? If so, by whom and for what??

You see them a lot today carrying steel (or other metal) slabs and such...

Skibbe and I walked around the show a bit and I took a few photos. Since most of it has been covered already, I'll just caption a few photos below. Everything below is n-scale only...

(below)Atlas had pre-production 2-bay hoppers on display:

Expired because it wasn't renewed because the bill wasn't paid?   ;)

Sorry gang - the rest of our domains are set to auto-renew. Forgot about that one! Paid it Saturday, we'll see how long it takes for DNS to come back.

Now that I can see the pictures (glad to see you paid your bill ;)

Is it me, or do the couplers on those Atlas hoppers seem to stick way far out from the body?

The IM milkcar looks great, glad I pre-ordered some of those. The 60' flat looks pretty good too.

Those pre-weathered Deluxe hoppers actually look decent. Can't wait for the spine cars.

The Walthers buildings look rather nice, but I'll just do what I usually do with any Walthers product, wait 2 years til they start putting it on sale at half price. I just got myself the roundhouse and extra bays and the coaling tower all for half or more off when they had them on sale a few months ago. I see they're on sale again now.

Yes. Cory at Atlas has confirmed that they are using existing Accumate trucks.

Recently tooled Atlas trucks don't have this problem. ::)

I love the fishbellies but I replace the trucks/couplers with M-T ...
