And that's the end of our arid WA photos. We drove back into Wenatchee at this point, since we still hadn't checked out the foot bridge over the tracks in down town. Here's a shot through the chain link fence looking back toward the fruit warehouse:

On the opposite side of the foot bridge is park land and a railroad park complete with Streamlined full size caboose, and a live steam railroad of some kind:

Nobody around for a tour of the live steam, so I don't know what equipment they had to run, but it was a pretty big "layout" stretched along the park land adjacent to the river front. I hiked it a ways and saw a couple of neat bridges too.

We now pause as our band of heros make the trek to Steven's Pass and Cascade Tunnel.
