I've spent the past month or so migrating Baltimore Area NTRAK's website over to Drupal, a BETTER CMS than the old one we were using.

So, without further ado: http://bantrak.net

If I'm seeing things correctly, Ed, you retained the older forum software?

I think that's the right move. The new software may have advantages in other areas, but its forum support seemed extremely clunky to me. The "old" forums are much easier to use, and I'm glad you decided to stick with them.

Yeah, the Drupal built-in forum features were, shall we say, somewhat feature poor. I'm going to work more to integrate the SMF into drupal as I go, but given the other big announcements coming up, I wanted the thing up and ready to go.

:o One of the best NTRAK club sites I've seen, not many use CMS though.

How does drupal compare to Mambo?  ???

Drupal smacks mambo down, hands down.

We used to use mambo (it's still up at http://old.bantrak.net) and while it presents fine, the actual process for people to add content was so convoluted that it rendered it useless.

The integration support with other applications (like SMF or Gallery2) seemed promising, but DESTROYED user permissions, and that's what actually brought about change.
