Yesterday Gonzo, Kris (from the CRHS) and I headed east to grab some trains and some pics of Beth Steel before it's all gone.
Here's the album of the trains. Beth Steel is to come.

Aw, now, this can't be true... you're pretty good railroad photographer to boot! ;D
Nice pictures of the Rust Belt, complements from the Sun Belt (might be more accurate to describe where I live as the Rain Belt right now...)

This is crazy to look at now that I've seen these places first hand:

Great shots Ed and crew.
Shoosh!... I am realy with you guys... I miss Conrail.
All those black locos would look better if blue... even with NKP or N&W on'em.
Up in Niagara County we have CP an vary beatup CSX.
Oh! an all the missing railbox's are stored up here.

That Blue Comet site is killing me. That's the kind of stuff that captured my imagination back in the day. There's a shot in there of a solid GP-30 lashup...
Here, look for yourself.
If that doesn't make your blood run blue, you should be collecting stamps or doing needlepoint.

I have a couple times, but never really spent the time on Beth Steel that I should've.
Any yeah, that Blue Comet site almost brought a tear to my eye yesterday.

I know, lived in The Steel`s back yard for all those years, even had a classmate that was a draftsman for the PB&NE, and I never took a picture. I figured it would always be there.
