Er, the reporting mark isn't NS, it's HS, a switching line serving the GE Railcar repair shop at Dothan, AL. And the car is a former Apalachicola Northern leased car, originally from SSI Rail, which became Itel, and then GE Railcar. It's from the late 1970's and never been repainted, except to paint out the logo above the reporting marks and the "Apalachicola Northern" on the right side. Those cars were turned back to GE at least 15 years ago...

Look at my avatar and you'll see why I'm very familiar with these.

Hey 3rdRail, are you familiar with a company called Golden Triangle? I saw a boxcar move through the Baltimore area recently also with HS markings but with Golden Trinagle clear as day in bold letters.

No farms, no food. Support your local farmer's market!

I stand with Israel.

Yes, Golden Triangle Rail Corp. It was a subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Co. and was built to serve a Weyerhauser mill in Northern Mississippi. Believe that Weyerhaeuser finally sold the railroad to KCS, its connection, but not sure.
