Straight handrails on a VO1000

Actually, it's a DS4-4-1000, but the principle remains the same.



BLMA GE style lift rings for the stanchions.  I filled in the hole from were the original handrail curved down and drilled a new hole over it; the other, original holes will work for the rest.  Wire is stainless steel from the junk box, not sure about diameter, but if it fits in the lift rings then it will work.

I ran out of lift rings, therefore the other side is not done.

Do you plan to square off the nose?

I did just a little work to mine and hid the rest with a rolled up canvas.

What exactly is the difference between the VO-1000 and the DS4-4-1000? External differences that is, as internal ones aren't visible in a model  ;)

I like the Idea of the Lift Rings, I might copy that on a job I`m presently
