Hey Ken-this'll get my interest back into scale trucks when I'm
supposed to be workin' on my train cars!
That's a fine lookin' truck though. Makes me wonder if somewhere
buried in my "junk" is an old "Chessie System" Freightliner that I
chopped & converted to a suicide cab as a teen.
Wondering also-I seem to recall in my foggy memory that a company
at one time made an HO scale version of a Brockway truck. (always
liked those!-to me looked good as a dump truck-had a resemblance
(to me) to a "B" series Mack-kinda rare to see them on the highways!)
Does anyone remember or know what I mean?
LOL-I remember reading the Stephen King short story "Trucks",
& he referred to a truck as being a "Hemingway" :
shrugs..guess
he didn't do his truck research-always had the feeling he meant
Brockway! (but he never did his research too well-in the book
version of Christine, the '58 Plymouth had a gear shift lever-all Mopars with
an automatic tranny from '57 thru '64 had push button control! :
Ok, gettin' too far off topic here-gonna go listen to music! ;D
