eja,

if you are looking for antennae arrangement, it depends on what unit you are modeling. some have different arrangements of the roof gear. some are set up as mid-train DPU power, and usually have four large sinclair antennaes in a "V"  pattern, but close together, and one in the back of the cab roof, looking at the loco from the front. ex. cp #9526 kato released this model. now, i am not exactly sure which units have what, but they may have all of their ac's with this arrangement. is this the info you were looking for? if anyone finds this info incorrect, let me know! the #9771 in the above link is the same setup.

Out of curiosity, what's the thing above the digit 9 on the side of the cab below the window in that picture?

There are some slight changes depending on the number series of the units.  Units 9583 and higher in the 9500 series and all of the 9600, 9700, 9800, and 8600 series have the antennae array positioned as in the link posted.  Some of the 8500s have the white plastic UP-style domes over all of the antennae except the locotrol antennae, which are mounted to the engineer's side of the dome.  Unfortunately, it's not continuous through the series so you'll have to check photos to be sure if the unit you are modelling is an 8500.  9500 through 9582 (including the Kato-modelled units 9516-9524-9532-9567) have the antennae mounted in a reverse configuration to all the other series; the two antennae to the outside are mounted slightly forward of the centre one, with the amount of offset being about the same.  I do have some pictures of this and will see if I can find a clear one to post.

Here's a shot of 9567, which is one of the units from the Kato run.  If you blow it up to full page size you should be able to see the configuration I'm referring too.  Remember this is unique to units 9500-9582.

This excellent shot was taken by Wilco Van Schoonhoven, who runs what is probably the most complete CPR motive power site on the web.  Check it out at www.mountainrailway.com.
