Ha Ha. Somebody else made some Sclair cars, IM or RC....  :P

The car does not look too challenging with just some patching, and dirt streaks from the top. Therefore many should enter  ;)

I'm sure the graffiti on the second car will ruffle some feathers... ::)

That's a load of crap, I have a first run Sclair car that I haven't been able to sell for $25...

So, in short, I'm all about sacrificing it for a weathering project.  ;D

...and I thought you've already re-painting this car into the plain grey Nova Chemical scheme, since that's what happened to the real things  ;)

Bonus points for anyone who actually puts the correct pneumatic hopper outlets on their car, instead of regular bulk outlets.

For anyone wondering about timeframe for these cars, they were all acquired from DOCX (Dow Chemical Canada) in 1997. Built new for DOCX in:

DOCX 44601-44680         9/65
DOCX 44681-44790         ?
DOCX 46501-46564         12/69-8/72

Some also remained in a plain brown scheme when they came from DOW:

I think I've only ever seen one car actually repainted plain grey so far, the majority are still in their old sclair colours.

I don't know if I should answer that. Will it endanger me of being booted off?  :D

Hehe.

Why would this be?

Isn't this a weathering challenge?

Perhaps we should change the name to be what it really is, a modelling challenge, of which weathering is part, as is adding detail parts and adding graffiti and .....

Hey folks, day after tomorrow is the First of March. Not leaving much time to order a car ( what car?) for those interested in entering the contest, since there has been no further discussion.

Or perhaps the post above has soured all on the contest, period? I had not realized such enmity had been created over the monthly challenge.

I really wish I could have entered the Feb. challenge, but MB Klein held things up...  I will still weather my car, etc. when I actually RECEIVE it, then post to SNFF.

Talk to Ed, since he's the one Mann left in charge.  ::)

You mean we have to do one of these EVERY month?
