Does Locpilot made a drop in decoder for the Kato ES44AC GEVO?

Not as of the last time I checked (6-8 months ago).  I ended up using a 59820 (or 59826) wired directly to the Kato light board, with a TCS KN1 keep-alive for good measure.  The performance has been awesome, and the price is right.

I have not tried this in a KATO but you might call Bryan@ SBS4DCC. Read his description.

No, that decoder has a different form factor and the motor pads are on the bottom of the decoder. Not compatible with this loco due to the overall size and motor contacts being wrong.



You would need a board which looks like this:


Unfortunately ESU does not make the LokPilot like that.  But other decoder manufacturers do.
