Of course it is. What do you think I've been doing for the last 25 years, staring off into space?  :P

I didn't actually looked at your web page for that model - I was hinting for CR4100 to go and look at what you have there. No need to "sticky" anything.

Question - have the Aurora 60' cars sold out of retailers or not arrived yet? I do see them for sale direct.

Sorry, been recuperating from a herniated disc injury and have not been following things...

Yes. Many retailers have sold out of their stock.  There are a few out their still, but limited in numbers.

I'm guessing not much was at the show - or it wasn't that exciting.  Usually this conversation has tons of information and pictures from the manufacturers.  Hoping I'm wrong...

Thanks,

You're wrong.  :)

I think the big void was that Daniel L. apparently was not attending the show. He used to be the most prolific photo poster in the past years.  I should have taken lots of photos but I'm not Daniel, and I don't think like he does. I also forgot to take my camera with me and I still think of my smart phone as a phone (not a camera). Just a brain fart.  There were lots of new announcements at the show, but again I'm not a best in documenting or remembering all the specific details.  I was there for all three days, but since  I'm still involved  in the NTRAK layout at the show I don't really have the time to stop by all the  manufacturers for extended viewing sessions. I also tend to only pay attention to the items which specifically interest me.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet was ESU was demoing a new version of their Mobile Control throttle (I guess this would be version 3). The highlights are as follows:
  • More efficient processor and board
  • Longer battery life (approximately double)
  • Much lighter in weight
  • Speed knob is taller/easier to grasp
  • Side buttons are slimmer and feel a lot better to use
  • USB C interface for charging

Having held it I was overall very impressed by how much better it felt than the previous model. With the longer battery life and lighter weight I am very much looking forward to using it. According to ESU they're expecting them to arrive sometime in March.

They went pretty quick at the retail level but Aurora has all roadname not name Ferromex in stock.

Sorry to hear of your travails.  It appears that many US shops sold out or never ordered.  Otter Valley in Ontario restocked most of the roads and they show several still in stock for under $30 USD at the current exchange rate.  That's the best price I've seen.  I don't know what their shipping prices are like.

Not the best site, but this link is N scale rolling stock, sorted by brand.

Another thing worth mentioning is that they had a sample of their N scale RDC (I reserved couple of the B&M units) and it looked pretty good.  The radiator grilles are photoetched metal (not sure if that's really necessary), and overall it looked really good, but the windows had a bit of a concave surface. When I asked Bill why (since other manufacturers like Kato) are able to mold their windows flat, Bill said that this was a pre-production sample and windows will be flat in the production units (I hope so).

I also asked bill if they would consider re-running the N scale Comet cars as I only bought 2 MBTA cars from the initial run and need more. He said that they are definitely planning on doing another run (but no timeline was given).

Atlas still not putting out Phase 2 or 3 RS3 versions? What a waste...

Has a number of video of the show.  The Athearn clips shows the acid tank cars and CA-11 Caboose in N scale.  The Atlas segment shows quite a bit of N scale.

Yeah, while generally their American proto c55  track looked good I wish it had a metal frog.
