Need some help to remove trucks from an old Roco/Atlas HO diesel

Back in the day when I ran HO, I had a bunch of these Roco/Atlas diesels.  I need to service the gears in a GP40 unit, but cannot remember how to get the truck off the frame.  I can remove the bottom plate and the two driven axles- no issue.  But I cannot remember how to get the truck assembly off the frame.  The two splines that extend over a horizontal bar are probably brittle (age), so I don't want to pull too hard.  I cannot recall if there was a kingpin to bump over.  The Atlas archives do not go back to the Roco days.  I searched online, but nothing useful- mostly the newer Atlas models and some Athearn models.

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

11/18  Got it fixed.  Jammed a screwdriver between the truck and the frame and pushed hard until it popped over the pivot rail.   Turned out there was crud in the teeth, and two of the axle gears were cracked.
