I used to use Kodak glacial acetic acid (99%) for mixing stop bath when I used to do my own darkroom work. If you inadvertently take too deep a breath close to it, the fumes will leave you gasping for air and your eyes will water like Niagara Falls.

No doubt. And the vinegar shipped in RR cars is probably a high concentration, so if one spills it's not a case of "oh it's only vinegar."

I was at an Ace Hardware this morning and walked past the Cleaning isle. They had 30% vinegar in gallon size. Marked as "Concentrate" on the jug.
