Just received my email to confirm my CC and address for the Atlas SD45's from Fifer. Anyone else getting these offerings?

I have the three SP units on reserve at my local hobby shop. Sometimes they get their shipment from Atlas before I see them listed at any of the online hobby shops, so hopefully I'll get a phone call sometime next week.

I tested one out at the shop today, sounds really nice.  Just like the MMID coming into Blue Ridge Summit in notch 8 at 5 mph

I hope they didn't botch the other roads, but I pre-ordered. I cancelled my pre-order after I saw the samples last month.

For N&W: wrong trucks, wrong horn, wrong bell. All this also true for the bicentennial unit 1776 - but they managed to get the roof color wrong too.

I just didn't need a $280 project loco.

If ScaleTrains follows their typical MO, they will do the SD45s and the NW 1776 in N scale. Least that's what I'm hoping for.
Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

I have yet to find where the bell is on any of these variations…
Im not cancelling as these are closer to anything produced for this model (especially espee) but not happy to have to attend to various details that Scaletrains has raised the bar to as every day stuff

I waited too long to reserve my SP units because I wanted confirmation about the unique SP lights on the front before committing.  Mistake.  Just got an email that my supplier is sold out - ___ -

I didn't bother trying to find where they put the bell on the NW units - they are conspicuous in their absence.

Just heard from Lombards, the SD45 where delayed a week, they state Lombards should receive them this Wed (28th) and start shipping them out to customers a day or two after that. Just thought I would share.

This has been my complaint with the Atlas C-630 for years... paint doesn't make it accurate. And there's so much that's wrong with the model vis a vis the Canadian units it'd have been better to not do the Canadian units at all.

I feel your pain.

Just received a note from my dealer that in spite of our doubts about Atlas meeting the demand for undecs, my entire order of six (plus an SP) has left New Jersey and is on its way. My conjecture is they realized the screw-up in their mix by omitting popular roads (like UP and ATSF). I would suppose they're going to fix the problem "in the next run", but given their usual span between reissues I have legit concerns I won't live to see the subsequent release.

I had better get to work on decal artwork, since Microscale isn't quite right for UP SD45s in the 3600s.

@MRLX1020 ? Heads-up, Justin!

I'll be ready once your decals are ready!
