I have my doubts about the method of fixation of the rails to the ties - ordinary spikes and tie plates were the de facto method when it came to wooden ties.
Interesting. What is supposed to be rusty abandoned track has a rather smooth bare-steel railhead (like trains have been running on it recently)....
