We had 'one' of those patch jobs actually drift into Warren, PA in '78 - the 7658, one of only two ex-LV power to ever set foot in here and I got a shot of it.   Ed, I'll send it to you.

It was 'patched' with what looked like a spray can of red paint.

Reminds me of how much fun that era was, after nothing but PC black GP38's, 40's and 35's, you never knew WHAT was going to show up next.

CR = Cursory Repair and Crash Repainting

And then after Conrail Blue we got the Allegheny, and another era of mixed paint, oddball CF7's leased power, overhead trains, wow.   Todays's rather disciplined B&P is colorful but predictable.
