If you're going to go that far might as well do the Lehigh Valley (?) SW/NW switcher in the background also (https://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/photos/cr-2073-bethlehem-pa-8-6-1977-0).

When I saw the lead photo on this post I thought it was a fantasy paint scheme. I mean, did the person who came up with the delicate pastel and pure white know the design would be on a train locomotive? A DEISEL loco? With a stinky, smoking, dirty, oil-spraying, sooty, grimy, oily diesel engine inside? (an ALCO deisel, at that). And that train locos run OUTSIDE, through rain, dust, blistering sun, hail, splattered mud, and windblown dirt? Ye gads, this thing reminds me of the Lionel "train for Girls" with its pink loco, pale blue hopper, and chartreuse caboose!

Yes, I know it's an actual railroad scheme but come on! I can see why Ed wants to grime it up so bad you can't see the original paint. And not to hurt any L&HR fans, this is just an observation.

Oh yeah. I keep watching for a deal on a BLI one to work from. You've seen the EL one I ruined, right?

Not only that. But a road who had a big business moving COAL too.

The L&NE got it: https://www.american-rails.com/lehigh.html

But somehow the L&HR missed the memo.

That looks juicy! For me it's seeing the ancient paint jobs still kicking around 20 years later. In example C&O GP30 3018 had its delivered paint scheme (yellow ends) beyond 1977 when it was painted in the Family Cat scheme. It never for the C&O "block" scheme.

Oh yeah. That stuff is one of the reasons I've moved from doing 85 to "Early Conrail".

Oh yes, I remember when you ruined this EL model.  Not sure I've forgiven you yet either.  :D
