Now shipping - though only in DB so far - similar to one Conrail bought for lake effect snow fiighting:

Fleischmann stuff is usually top quality... Modelbahn Lippe is an excellent dealer - ships FedEx and deducts VAT

Could not locate a prototype photo of a BNSF Beilhack Snow Blower online.

Oh now this is cool. This made it to Boston several times during major blizzards. Yeah I'll need to get one.

Are there other online shops that carry these?

If this is a standard Fleischmann model then I suspect other vendors like DM-Toys (in Germany) or Reynaulds or Eurolokshop (Stateside) will carry them.

By the way, @peteski pointed me to DM-Toys a while ago, and I've ordered from them several times.  Highly recommended.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I'd stick to Eurolokshop, Reynaulds, DM-Toys or ModelbahnLippe...

All the above will carry it and have up to date stock info.

DM and MBL use UPS and FedEx and avoid the Random DHL/USPS Customs delays.

DM-Toys has it in stock.  Pricey, but not unreasonable for a DCC and sound equipped model.

In this photo it seems that the entire upper body of the plow can rotate 180 deg. around the lower frame?

I didn't even know that the 1:1 scale one was able to rotate in place like that.  It is like it carries its own turntable.

Rotation is motorized, just have a look at the manual on the website https://www.fleischmann.de/static/frontend/Casisoft/Fleischmann/de_DE/doc/AN/2/DE/7370001920.pdf.

Chris

Looks like it has built-in keep-alive. That is good because it features traction tires. Why on earth would this need traction tires?

Pete, I think it was even capable of off-center blowing as well. I seem to remember former Conrail crew talking about taking mounds between adjacent tracks.
