John @Lemosteam , it looks like you put Kato trucks on your Rivarossi "Poplar View".   Would you be kind enough to share your method?

@nickelplate759 , First,  I drill the hole in the car at 3mm. Then I insert a solid 1/8" diameter styrene rod flush to the bolster surface.  I use a 2-56 tap drill in the center of the rod for a 2-56 screw as nkalanaga mentioned.  I prefer this method over using the MT conversion boss as it just will not glue in place in the car.

I prefer to leave the pickup tabs on the Kato trucks intact so instead of snipping them off (in case I want to light the car later) I bend them toward the bolster hole till flat.  BTW- they can still be soldered to in this position.

I find that a 2-56 screw leaves too much side to side slop at the bolster, so I use a short brass tube that is just longer than the truck is thick to make sure the screw doesn't tighten down on the truck or prevent smooth rotation.

Got in some good running time at a small local 4-H train show this weekend.

Started off by giving my Overland brass Schnabel car a chance to stretch its wheels and catch some rays:

Ran a PRR mail train all day yesterday (and didn’t get a photo of it)

Started today by doing some flat switching with my PRR NW-2

And who knows what else will happen.

I also bought a loop of T-gauge track so maybe now I’ll finally finish building my RDC.

The Baltimore, Rock Island, and Northern, aka the BRIAN railroad, came in to some more power recently. U25B #234, GP-7 4446, and GP40 #361 are seen here holding their respective trains in the yard. 234 and 4446 may look familiar to those keeping score at home, as they came from Allen's Little Rock Line. @Bendtracker1

Picking away at various elements of the scenery on my layout.  Today I mounted about half of the fascia.  It makes a tremendous visual difference and adds a lot to the finished look.

Finished up two structures today, this is the office and garage for the aggregate company.

Nighttime:

Next is the Old Crow Speed shop. I really enjoyed decorating and lighting this model on the interior. There will be more to come on the shop side such as a lift, engine hoist, and cars but the black leather couch and dude behind the counter are my fave!

These are very evocative of on-the-fringes businesses pretty much anywhere in the country, especially 1950-1970. I can almost hear the tinkle-tinkle of the door annunciator bell on the speed shop/former gas station. Great job.
