"Relatively short product development cycles"
Someone want to send that memo to Intermountain?

Yeah these cars looked great and I’ll probably pick up a bunch for papermill duty. I do hope though that their exquisite underbody detail doesn’t cause issues like rapido. They look almost identical with brake fittings and hoses. I raised the issue about the rapido issues and they said they do extensive testing and won’t have issues.

I found it strange about the no preorder thing but they also only sell through dealers. Lombard is one of their dealers and I wonder if you can preorder through a dealer?

Also asked about downsizing the smaller FBOX they do in ho and that is in the hopper.

Good thing they aren't coming until Q3 - I have time to save up.

Oh good, another coupler.  :P

It is nice to see manufactures try and stay up on modern equipment. If we want the next generation to get interested in trains, you need to make what they see everyday.

That's a big reason why I model modern, I see it almost everyday so it's easy to get accurate. I have memories of older equipment like unique engines (DRGW tunnel motors on UP mains always caught my eye), open car carriers, and tank cars, so 70's and 80's era stuff is a big interest as well. The ST tunnel motors are going to hurt my wallet for sure because of the nostalgia.

The blue GATX cars are showing up everywhere. Nice to see someone new getting into the N scale game.

I model modern era, so no whining from me.  :D

The blue GATX cars are on my want-list. Also that UP car.

Most of you are missing the big picture here: This is an HO manufacturer finally expanding their line into N scale. This will only benefit us all.

Great to see the modern 60' boxes getting some love! :D

Now, if we could just get some (accurate) 1970s 60' hi-cubes in N.

And there are a lot of road numbers here too.  Great first product choice, and hopefully they can justify doing the 50' versions they have produced in HO as well.

I just noticed that Aurora posted some new sample photos on their Facebook page.  Here are a few shots I harvested from there:

They look really good!  Still due in 2024/Q4.

I am really liking them and need some for my papermill train but after seeing a decent amount of complaints from the HO guys about rolling ability in some of the aurora cars I am kind of leery.  Especially when they purged every comment that came up about it on their Facebook page.

Oh man, I almost want one or two for my Penn Northeastern C39 to tote around. Those look pretty sharp. Those GATX cars seem to be everywhere now.

Yum.  I saw them in person in April at a show and they are going to be an excellent addition.
