Hard to be sure, but in the prototype station photo it looks like the peak of the roof is higher than your model's, and the pitch of the upper portion is steeper.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Speaking of electricity, I finally finished up this electrical substation project that's been gathering dust on my workbench for a while -

It's mostly science fiction, although some of it (the non-Woodland Scenics parts) are loosely based on this prototype -

Is this all kitbashed? What have you used to build it?

I agree -- I only had the photos to work from .. so the roof will change for sure ..

The top of the bottom roof half is about where the second floor walls would be .. I think the lower level ceiling might be at 10' and I can see 7 wood siding courses just above the brick .. so that ads 4 feet .. I need to try the roof angle with an 8' ceiling on the 2nd floor to see how that works out .. it's some detective work .. the one thing I am pretty sure of is the roof dimensions ..

It's a 3D design .. will print it on my anycubic printer when I get it worked out ..

John, you used SketchUp, correct? All that brick work would have made Fusion360 crash and burn.

Yes I did .. the file is about 8mb when downloaded to .stl .. it pretty much chokes sketchup also . I didn't even try to make the brick N scale because of that

Glad I'm not the only one...  Maybe make the windows separate for painting.

Half of it is this - https://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/item/US2253

The rest is scratchbuilt.

I will probably do that .. they print better when they are separate ..

Meant to post this here - finally a little progress on the East Wind.  Started painting the Baggage, Diner, and American-Flyer coach.
I took a gamble on Tru-Color TCP-304 Illinois Terminal Yellow and it looks pretty good.   I'll do the silver window stripe next.
This is over Tamiya Fine White primer.

Here's the base coat on the diner.

Once I get these three cars done I'll start building up the four cars from East Wind laser-cut acrylic sides.

I went over to @shark_jj's the other day for a brief visit, and brought some trains to run on his Grand Trunk Southern layout.

It might not be Morant's curve, but it certainly is a scenic layout to operate on!
Because why not...

Ooh, I spy some tourist sleepers on that Canadian…

The muses have turned hard from scenery to locomotives in the last week, I’m assuming because I cleaned up the scenery mess enough to run trains. So, the Rapido FP9 pair finally got the truck modifications, which was successful enough to start me on the path of detailing, decoderizing, and painting a Kato F7B to create an ABA set. I was surprised to find I have a DC Milwaukee FP7/F7B set in my drawer of non DCC locomotives - I can’t recall exactly why I have them…
I also had a pair of detailed and properly decorated (Canadian Pacific ‘block’ scheme) Atlas GP7’s that have been on old non DCC friendly mechanisms (stored in the same drawer)  and I was lucky enough to get a good deal on a pair of “decoder ready” Atlas Boston and Maine GP7’s  - a quick decoder install and a shell swap and added to the fleet. Also in the same drawer was an ABB set of Intermountain set of FP7 and F7B’s. Decoders were purchased and the first 2 installs went fine but the last seems to be dud. A bit frustrating but I’ve put it aside for now and I’ll figure it out later. AND I purchased a decoder for one my 2 CP Trainmasters - I’m going to repaint this for short hood forward operation. I’m not sure I really need 2 Trainmasters in my fleet, but that decision can wait.
If anyone wants to provide a home for a pair of B&M GP7’s on old non DCC friendly mechs…

I think all lightning is either rogue or there is no rogue place in the USA . As far as surge protectors go and lightning , if the hit is THAT close would it not be equal to being hit by a train with or without a hat on ?

Very nice layout, but what I'm impressed with is the CP is making revenue off its passenger service, the cars are full of paying passengers!
