Finished a few weathering projects. More underway, but not yet suitable for photos.

Progress on CR 10 for the OCS.  One of the steps broke off while removing the build supports that I have to reattach.

I'm still working on the HOn3 Rio Grande Southern, trying to kick everything up a few more notches on accuracy. Here's a pair of before/after shots of some McCarville Studios kits in Placerville! First, my last plastic stand-in--a Walthers lumber yard office kit--is replaced with an accurate model of the actual Placerville post office. Then, I added one of his Placerville house kits to the exact spot it still exists today. Before is on top, after is on bottom.

I’ve got a couple SW1200s, an NW2 and a couple SD7s but I absolutely love that paint scheme on the SW1.
You’ve inspired me to paint one of my own.
Thank you!

Building some new buildings

Also built a 2ft module to extend #1 to 7ft long and now will be able to process a 14 car instead of only 6 car delivery.

Building some trees this week, but nothing to share photo-wise yet. Meanwhile, during a JRFTM session, we catch up with the local crew spotting a peanut oil tanker at the food distributor. The boxcar in the foreground will then be respotted on the spur; it had to be pulled in order to spot the tank car. The steel coil cars will then be taken back up the line to the steel dealer. They were brought in from the interchange but the switch is facing point on the return trip to the town, so they’ll just run back out before tying up.

I ran trains at the Keystone N-Trak open house today.

On top, a Conrail GP15 leads 13 BH1C and BH1D ballast cars. On the bottom, a dual control stand GP38 in OLS paint leads an all Conrail freight.

The fabric of reality has begun to fray.

I wrapped up work on these Pennsy H34 hoppers, detailed with early-style end ribs.  My iPhone didn't capture the BLMA trucks very well, kinda lost in the shadows  :(

"kinda lost in the shadows" describes the trucks in a lot of prototype photos as well.
