Though if they ever start paint-detailing open auto rack decks on a regular basis as in the MTL/ESM EL collaboration and on the COFC flats here, I'll be first in line. 8)

Not exactly the MTL model of scale cars on flatcars, but the principal appears to be realistic.

Question for @MTLJoe  - are the scale cars in that set undec MTL scale car kits, or are they 3D prints of MTL scale cars?
Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

@MTLJoe

It would be great to have a full length 89' flatcar track deck loads for MOW machine trains...

Or a set of 89' flats set up for carrying MOW machines.

the bodies and details are from our model, injection molded ...I did a 3d print of the underframe with wheels and couplers to simplify the finished product since this was a static display.  I will check and see it those parts can be made available.

MTLJoe,
 Will the undec. 65' log cars be available for order from my LHS? Reason I'm asking is that when I tried to order one today he said it was not listed but the others in the Oct. announcements were. I really like the kit idea, looks like a fun build.
Thanks, Ralph

Interesting!
Looks like the car belongs to Canac International:

I'm guessing they do scale testing for hire. Scale test cars are definitely a pain in the a$$ to handle in a train. This is a great way to make moving them "just another flat car".
