F&C PRR X23 Progress

Hello all,

Starting a new thread to avoid confusion with the prior poll.  As promised, here are test shot photos of our first pass with resin:

The car as modeled has options for Creco and Youngstown doors as well as five-and six-rung ladders.  It is shown with the replacement lap panel roof and AB brake.  This configuration was common for company service cars, and a possible revenue configuration for the last decade or so of service.  For folks that might want to take it on themselves to replace the AB with a K brake, the decals will support backdating the car as far as 1928 (the beginning of the NK4 scheme).  The lap panel roofs began to be applied in the early 1920's.

The issue we need to correct is the number of lap panels on the roof - the real cars were 11 vs. 12 on the master.  I now have some original PRR info to correct this and the master revisions are getting underway.  I felt that it was important to get this right as we mostly see the roofs of our cars and a panel seam on the centerline would be obviously incorrect.  I expect we will be back to new test shots by the end of the summer, with distribution as soon as possible following.

Thanks!  It's a team effort - our own Lemosteam had a lot to do with this getting off the ground!
