Custom painting of GP40-2(W)

Has anyone attempted to custom paint an undecorated Atlas GP40-2(W) yet? 
This thing is a bear to take apart. 
I have one that I have been trying to disassemble but am finding it difficult to remove the cab. It appears that the light tubes for the headlight are glued in.
I also have found out that the rear headlight fixture to hold the light tube is also glued in!!

Well, I finally managed to remove the cab without breaking anything!!!
But to my dismay, I see Atlas has done what Lifelike has done and glued in all the windows!!!

I needed a -2W for a project coming up, but more so for the short fuel tank chassis.  Glad I don't need the shell

I haven’t actually seen a live undec, so if you got one bravo!

Upon further disassembly, I have found out that the number boards and front windshield is removable, thank goodness!!!

But..............


Unfortunately, the side and rear windows are glued in. 



The glazing for the window to view the sight glass is also glued in.



The light tube for the rear light is also glued in place,



as well as the tubes for the ditch lights and front headlight.



Also of note is the fuel tank can be placed on in either direction, problem is the proper direction needs to be noted to get it right. What I did was to take a Sharpie and right front with an -> on it.
