So when did a 12k come into the mix, and what is the benefit of 12k?

Since when did they stop sharing the Z axis resolution?

Whatever 12K is the pixels are 19x23* microns.

Maybe the 12k is the clarity between black and transparent? I get the pixel size, but what is the Z axis resolution? I can’t find info anywhere on the site.

The S is for speed, but it prints fast by using .1mm layers. Using .05mm layers takes  (wait for it)  twice as long. But I do not know how far down the Z will go.

The 12K is just the aspect ratio of the screen, like how TV's are rated.

Anyway, did you read that article?  It is an adhesive  used in the manufacturing of the LCD display, not the film in the bottom of the resin vat.

Anisotropic conductive film (ACF), is a lead-free and environmentally friendly adhesive interconnect system that is commonly used in liquid crystal display manufacturing to make the electrical and mechanical connections from the driver electronics to the glass substrates of the LCD. The material is also available in a paste form referred to as anisotropic conductive paste (ACP), and both are grouped together as anisotropic conductive adhesives (ACAs). ACAs have more recently been used to perform the flex-to-board or flex-to-flex connections used in handheld electronic devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players, or in the assembly of CMOS camera modules.

I saw it is adhesive and has a milky white color. But the vat on the M5s also has a milky white color. I dunno. Normal FEP or nFEP is pretty much clear.

While I'm not an expert here, how and why would a conductive adhesive be made into a film?  I can't say for sure, but I highly doubt it.

I have no idea what the new stuff is. They say it has less stiction for high speed printing. I would like to try it for low speed printing. It is strange they want you to buy the new machine, but not really tell you anything about it. Well OK they tell you a lot about it, everything except the 2 items I'm interested in.

The AC rep on the Mono X page, shared these resolution specs: X）19μm*（Y）24μm*（Z）0.01mm

This new printer claims to have sensors built in that can tell when the print is fully released from the film. Just a way to speed up the process.

Kind of pricey and I really don't think not lifting far enough is the problem with FEPs.
