Both new 12K machine use a new FEP film called ACF:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anisotropic_conductive_film?fbclid=IwAR14V98ZYzQOIfVpmpsLyaGw7XRtQ9Ffj-NO1N3YAE6ttts_-k892VoftWQ
I saw it is adhesive and has a milky white color. But the vat on the M5s also has a milky white color. I dunno. Normal FEP or nFEP is pretty much clear.
So it can tell when you failed print is no longer pulling from the FEP (whatever they call it) and stops the machine.
